Helen Evans

Helen Evans is an award winning whistleblower, Protect advisory council member and charity CEO. In 2018 she blew the whistle on sexual exploitation and abuse at Oxfam GB, having formerly been their Global Head of Safeguarding. In 2019 the International Development Committee and Charity Commission upheld her concerns and she was later awarded the ‘Middlesex University UK Whistleblower Award’. Last year the feature length documentary ‘When we speak’ was released on Amazon Prime and other streaming services. This film featured Helen’s untold story, along with two other women whistleblowers, in which she disclosed for the first time the backlash she experienced after speaking out and her journey to recovering from PTSD.
